Once the wheel is secured in place, you can return the cover over the lug nuts or keep it in a safe place until you can replace your spare tire.

Once the vehicle has been lowered to the ground, visually inspect the spare to ensure it is stable. Return all of your tools to the vehicle and place your flat tire where you previously stored your spare.
