In a history making move, Daniel won his second checkered flag at the Atlanta Motor Speedway<\/a> and achieves his first win donning the Freeway colors. On June 12 at Sonoma Raceway<\/a>, steering his No. 99 Trackhouse Racing Team Chevrolet, Daniel Su\u00e1rez<\/a> finally got the checkered flag. He becomes the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series. This win makes him the fifth winner born outside the United States to win a cup series. The others are Aussie Marcos Ambrose, Italian-born Mario Andretti<\/a>, Juan Pablo Montoya of Colombia and Canadian Earl Ross.<\/p>\n

The wins comes at the heels of an impressive second season which started with a thrilling fourth place showing at Auto Club Speedway<\/a> with the #99 Freeway Insurance car.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n
